Family First condemns Telstra for forcing its Victorian staff to work on today's Labour Day public holiday.
In July last year Family First was the first party to raise the issue of the Government removing guaranteed public holidays, like Labour Day, Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day.
I am enjoying today's Labour Day public holiday with my family, like so many other Victorians. But Telstra workers have been robbed of a family day.
Public holidays are family days. That's why Family First campaigned so strongly last year to try to ensure public holidays were guaranteed. Unfortunately, the Government did not care.
