The Family
First party says it is a force in Queensland politics despite figures showing it attracted less than 2 per cent of the primary vote in Saturday's state election.

Family First fielded seven candidates in southern Queensland.

State director Peter Findlay says the state-wide result is misleading.

"You've got to look at the results in the seats we contested and I'm not sure what that is but it will be well over that [2 per cent]," he said.

"We got 10 per cent in many of the seats we contested and 15 per cent in some so I'm not taking any notice of the state-wide figures, I think it's a furphy."
